Biography of Giorgio Piccaia

Giorgio Piccaia is one of the sons of Art. Born in Geneva, Switzerland, he is the child of a twentieth century master.  He lived with him and the artistic environment that surrounded him, first in Geneva and then Milan, where he later moved to with his family. He studied architecture with Corrado Levi at the Milan Politechnic where he got heavily involved in performance art. Between 1970 and 1980 he worked in Poland and Italy with Jerzy Grotowski, famous director and contemporary theater theorist. He is a painter and pottery maker. He has two ateliers, one in Agrate Conturbia and another  one in Lido di Camaiore. He is presently listed in the 2018 Guide to Art Investment of Corriere della Sera, among the 330 Italian artists to follow. He exibited in Wopart 2018, in Lugano with the Ma-Ec gallery in Milan.
